Website Update

All right.

After a long days work I'm halfway through posting up my new and improved website. The main page still says it's under construction, but most of the links are working at this time. You will notice when you go to the View page to see what work I have up, that most of those links are inactive. However, there are a few things to look at, at this time. I will be updating the site with new gallery images as well, but right now they should be the same as what was up previously before the redesign. I hope that when it is finally completed you find it enjoyable and hopefully easier to navigate this time around. Also, I'm striving really hard to get feedback from everyone on my work and my website so please visit the Contact page (which is working) and leave me a message, like my page, or answer the poll question for fun.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Website Revamp

Hello,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have started the redesign of my website and that I apologize to all of you who are trying to look at my work at this time. I will be uploading it page by page, but right now the home page says "Under Construction", of course. If you are interested in the redesign I have posted a screen shot of the home page below. I may make some minor changes to the final design, but this is what it will be looking like from now on.

Thanks for stopping by!

Early Halloween Designs

So, like I said, I started on my Halloween designs for the upcoming month. I figured I would post an initial ink sketch here to give you guys a taste of what is in store. These first few designs should be posted this weekend up on zazzle over the weekend if you are interested in getting a few Halloween cards and other items early. I hope you enjoy these design, it is just the beginning.
...

I finished the color designs and have posted the first few products up for purchase now. I was really in the zone, but now I have to get ready for work tomorrow. Hope you like the pumpkins!

Several New Projects

Hello everyone!

I thought it would be a good opportunity to give a few updates with what is going on not only with Ambrosia Rae Designs, but with some side projects as well.

The earring posts are officially up on Etsy so if you are interested in those please stop by and give them a look. There are more pictures and descriptions there that will give you information that I have not posted here. Plus, if there is anything that you would like to see as far as my earring designs, or any other designs, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always interested to hear others thoughts.

Right now at work I have been transferred over to a new department. I am now responsible for adding and removing product from the companies website, as well as adding and removing special promotions for certain products. I am learning a lot and am quite happy to be in a position where I can put my degree to good use. I also love broadening my horizon of skills so that I can put them to good use in the future.

Halloween is just around the corner and I have agreed to making my cousin her halloween costume. Now, it's not quite what you think. I'm not making any run of the mill witches or princess costume. She's actually an avid fan of the British series Dr.Who and wants to go as the character Martha. Of course, for any of you who know the show, that character's only real distinction is her trade mark jacket. So, over the next few weeks I will be creating the pattern and sewing a replica of the famous leather jacket. I'll be sure to post pics after I'm done. Hopefully they won't put me to shame. Lol.

Also, in between that I'm planning on redesign my website. I've been thinking about it for a while now, but haven't gotten around to actually finalizing the designs and getting it posted. I'm hoping to get the designs settled out and finished in photoshop over the next week or so and then beginning to upload the tests. At that time I'll also be adding additional pages and links to Etsy and my product designs. Anything I think might interest you in what I've been doing.

Lastly, I'm thinking of other projects I'd like to get accomplished for Ambrosia Rae Designs and Etsy. The winter season is approaching and I'd like to sew some scarves and/or gloves, but I'm not quite ready to tackle that project. I should probably make sure I finish that jacket first. But it'd be nice to have something economical to give you guys. Other than that I'm trying to think of what Halloween designs I can make that haven't been done before. I have to get those posted in time so I'm sure that will be my next course of action.

Thanks for reading and as always keep posted for my next designs!

Ambrosia Rae Now On Etsy!

Hello All,

I know it has been quite a long time since I have last posted anything new. I wanted to announce that Ambrosia Rae Designs can now be found on Etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/ambrosiarae. :)

There you will find things not only designed by me but hand crafted as well. Since I last posted I have been finding it harder and harder to get my art out to the public. Between working full time to pay the bills and finding the extra time to do what I love, it gets kind of hard to promote myself along the way. But I will be doing my best to keep it up this time and to keep you guys in the know of what is going on.

Right now there isn't very much to see on Etsy, but I am in the process of posting several earrings that I made over the weekend. I'm starting off small, selling a few prints and jewelry, but hope to expand quickly. Below are a few images of designs I have and will be posting over the next few days. I hope you enjoy them and stay tuned for more images, designs, and ideas from Ambrosia Rae.

The St. Louis Project for Haiti

The Haitian earthquake tuesday impacted my life personally, but that doesn't mean others are unaffected by the images of the people in need. There are several ways to help and the St. Louis Project for Haiti is coming together to raise money in hopes to send doctors, medicine, and food to the Haitians in need. The money we raise will further support the Haitian relief organizations that we feel will benefit the people in need. Those being, Crudem, Medicine and Food for Kids, and Doctors Without Borders.

The St. Louis Project for Haiti was started by members of my family and is joined by people here in the St. Louis community. To anyone who is confused about where to donate or concerned about the reputation of the organizations to donate to, the St. Louis Project for Haiti is an organization you can trust and be assured that your money will be put towards the relief effort.

For the next three months we are going to do all we can to fundraise, as we hope to reach a goal of $60,000.

To all of those in and out of town and would like to send any and anything to help you are welcome to send checks payable to The St. Louis Project for Haiti at:
P.O. Box 170094
St. Louis, MO 63117

But if you are in the St. Louis area and want to be apart of the aide there are several events that you can attend.

Friday Jan 22 9am-12:30pm
Gramma Phone
4243 Manchester
$10 at the door
Combien pour Haiti (Together for Haiti) is a benefit concert by Mario Pascale and friends where all proceeds are going towards the Crudem organization.

Saturday Jan 23 at 2pm

We are holding a fund raising event where all are welcome to come and donate their time and money towards the cause.

Also, my company Ambrosia Rae Designs is donating a part of the proceeds from the haitian relief designs currently on Ambrosia Rae Zazzle and Ambrosia Rae Atramatik
