Zodiac Completion

Hi Everyone!
I know you are dying for a Gallery Show update. My Christmas was great, relaxing as well as very busy. I pulled my first all night-er for the first time in a very long time. But am proud to say that every last zodiac image is finished!

They have all been successfully printed and look amazing. The last steps are mounting them to their boards and hanging them up in the gallery this week. I hope all of you are as excited as I am. I promise you won't be dissapointed.

To those of you out there who will be attending The January 7th show I do want you to know the work will be for sale should you see something you like. There are limited prints available at this time, but after the event showing I will be taking online orders on my gallery event page which will offer some alternate mounting options.

Every print purchased will be a one of a kind hand autographed by yours truly and come numbered. Autographed gift messages are also an option if your picking up a peice for a loved one. These prints are limited editions and will only be available for purchase through the length of the gallery show, so be sure to get them before the prints are no longer available.

Ares and Scorpio

After 20 plus hours I'm almost done with Ares and Scorpio. Just some minor outlining adjustments add some fancy backgrounds and they'll be the first to be finished. They are looking mighty grand right about now if I do say so myself.
Sketched the Taurus body at lunch today. Just need to finalize her face and hands in pencil and she'll be ready to be colorized with the rest.
I have some pretty solid ideas for Capricorn and Pices. If I play around a little more with Aquarius I'm sure that will be flushed out soon as well. The others, however, seem to be illuding the whole, 'I have a brilliant concept' idea. But I know they'll come in time.
Needless to stay still so much to do in so little time, but I will do it, even if only to impress all of you out there awaiting my show with much anticipated excitement. If you're even half excited as I am I know this will be one of the greatest shows of all time! :)
Stay Tuned

Zodiac: The Inner You

I'm am very excited to announce the first event date:

Saturday January 7th, 2012 from 12-2pm at Urban Eats Cafe, 3301 Meramec St. St. Louis Mo.

I am working very hard to get these designs finished and ready for the gallery showing. So, much to do and so little time, but I am determined to impress. Pass the word along to all that you know and make a day of it. We want to bring the community together with art and food, so don't be shy, get out and have a good time.

So far I have four of the prints drawn, Ares, Scorpio, Leo, and Saggitarius. But still coloring and printing must be done. And with that still eight more signs to finish. I'm determined to finish at least six of the zodiac signs by Monday. So cross your fingers for me, I hope all goes well. I have to finish all twelve zodiacs by the end of next week so that I have time for printing. Looks like it's going to be a tight deadline. Good thing I got used to those college all nighters. ;)

If you haven't already please check out the gallery show link on the home page. It talks about the theme and event dates. But will soon show sneak previews of what's to come in the gallerys show. Hope all of you are as excited as I am! Spread the word!!

Website Update

All right.

After a long days work I'm halfway through posting up my new and improved website. The main page still says it's under construction, but most of the links are working at this time. You will notice when you go to the View page to see what work I have up, that most of those links are inactive. However, there are a few things to look at, at this time. I will be updating the site with new gallery images as well, but right now they should be the same as what was up previously before the redesign. I hope that when it is finally completed you find it enjoyable and hopefully easier to navigate this time around. Also, I'm striving really hard to get feedback from everyone on my work and my website so please visit the Contact page (which is working) and leave me a message, like my page, or answer the poll question for fun.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Website Revamp

Hello,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have started the redesign of my website and that I apologize to all of you who are trying to look at my work at this time. I will be uploading it page by page, but right now the home page says "Under Construction", of course. If you are interested in the redesign I have posted a screen shot of the home page below. I may make some minor changes to the final design, but this is what it will be looking like from now on.

Thanks for stopping by!

Early Halloween Designs

So, like I said, I started on my Halloween designs for the upcoming month. I figured I would post an initial ink sketch here to give you guys a taste of what is in store. These first few designs should be posted this weekend up on zazzle over the weekend if you are interested in getting a few Halloween cards and other items early. I hope you enjoy these design, it is just the beginning.
...

I finished the color designs and have posted the first few products up for purchase now. I was really in the zone, but now I have to get ready for work tomorrow. Hope you like the pumpkins!

Several New Projects

Hello everyone!

I thought it would be a good opportunity to give a few updates with what is going on not only with Ambrosia Rae Designs, but with some side projects as well.

The earring posts are officially up on Etsy so if you are interested in those please stop by and give them a look. There are more pictures and descriptions there that will give you information that I have not posted here. Plus, if there is anything that you would like to see as far as my earring designs, or any other designs, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always interested to hear others thoughts.

Right now at work I have been transferred over to a new department. I am now responsible for adding and removing product from the companies website, as well as adding and removing special promotions for certain products. I am learning a lot and am quite happy to be in a position where I can put my degree to good use. I also love broadening my horizon of skills so that I can put them to good use in the future.

Halloween is just around the corner and I have agreed to making my cousin her halloween costume. Now, it's not quite what you think. I'm not making any run of the mill witches or princess costume. She's actually an avid fan of the British series Dr.Who and wants to go as the character Martha. Of course, for any of you who know the show, that character's only real distinction is her trade mark jacket. So, over the next few weeks I will be creating the pattern and sewing a replica of the famous leather jacket. I'll be sure to post pics after I'm done. Hopefully they won't put me to shame. Lol.

Also, in between that I'm planning on redesign my website. I've been thinking about it for a while now, but haven't gotten around to actually finalizing the designs and getting it posted. I'm hoping to get the designs settled out and finished in photoshop over the next week or so and then beginning to upload the tests. At that time I'll also be adding additional pages and links to Etsy and my product designs. Anything I think might interest you in what I've been doing.

Lastly, I'm thinking of other projects I'd like to get accomplished for Ambrosia Rae Designs and Etsy. The winter season is approaching and I'd like to sew some scarves and/or gloves, but I'm not quite ready to tackle that project. I should probably make sure I finish that jacket first. But it'd be nice to have something economical to give you guys. Other than that I'm trying to think of what Halloween designs I can make that haven't been done before. I have to get those posted in time so I'm sure that will be my next course of action.

Thanks for reading and as always keep posted for my next designs!
